There is a paper crisis in Sri Lanka and there is still no solution

On the 7th local time, the Sri Lanka Publishers Association said that there was a paper crisis in Sri Lanka. The association said that the current foreign exchange shortage crisis has exacerbated the problem of insufficient paper supply.

According to Sri Lankan media reports, the association said that although the Ministry of finance, the central bank and other relevant institutions have been informed of the problem, there is still no solution. In view of the general shortage of paper, Sri Lanka’s Ministry of the interior has instructed state officials to restrict the use of paper as much as possible. Some government departments began to use social media to complete the document submission procedures.
