Recently released data show that the recovery rate of paper and paperboard in Italy has reached 85% this year, reaching and exceeding the EU’s paper recovery plan in recent two years.
It is reported that in 2020, the total output of all paper and paperboard recycling plants in Italy was 6.8 million tons. During the coronavirus crisis, the country’s paper output decreased, but the paperboard output increased.
According to EU regulations, the recovery rate of paper and paperboard in all European countries is required to reach 87% by 2030.
