Estonia will build the country’s largest paper complex

According to Estonian local media, the Estonian shale oil, power generation and utility holding group VKG (virakeemia gruppvirukeemia grupp) plans to build a large-scale pulp production base in IDA viru County, Estonia.

According to the plan of the company, the investment of the project is nearly 800 million euros, the design capacity is 330000-500000 tons / year, and the supply of wood raw materials needs to reach 2.3 million m3. It can be put into use before 2026, which will significantly improve the added value of wood raw materials in the country.

The pulp produced by the new plant can meet the needs of the country’s textile and other sectors, and can bring an annual export revenue of 285 million euros and a tax revenue of 250 million euros, which will create 1000 new jobs in Estonia, of which 250 are direct production jobs.

According to the company, Estonia has the wood resources required for such production, which are currently exported in the form of pulp wood, wood chips or wood for power generation and heating combustion.
