Toilet paper prices soared 49% in Singapore, the second most expensive in the world

Now, there is a group of price data that causes controversy. The price of toilet paper in Singapore soared by 49%, nearly half of which became the second most expensive in the world.
In the four weeks of March and April, a pack of four rolls of toilet paper in Singapore rose from an average of $2.15 ($3.04) to $3.20 ($4.52) in a month, according to finder.com.
Prices soared 48.84%, and nearly 49% of the increase made toilet paper the most popular commodity in Singapore.
It is 16 times higher than the global average (3.37%), which makes Singapore the second highest price rising country among 90 countries or regions in the world.
The only country with a large price increase was Norway, which jumped from $2.71 (S $3.83) to $4.54 (S $6.41), up nearly 68%.
Other countries with significant price increases include Cyprus (35.88%), Austria (33.85%) and Malaysia (32.26%).
Among all continents, Asia saw the highest average price increase, with four rolls of toilet paper rising 7.56%, from an average of $1.91 (S $2.70) to $2.06 (S $2.91).
