The international pulp price continued in the third quarter of 2019

Influenced by the unstable international political and economic situation, the constant trade conflicts between China and the United States, the exchange rate changes and the rising stock of pulp market, the international pulp price has been declining for months in the near future. In order to stabilize the pulp price, many international pulp mills have taken measures to reduce production. The industry tends to be conservative about the trend of international pulp price before the end of 2019, and market participants expect that the probability of going upstream and downstream in the flat market is greater.
Since 2019, the international pulp price has fallen sharply in January, and then rose to May and then turned down in March. As of September, the international pulp price mostly shows a downward trend. Market participants observed that it was mainly because of the unstable international political and economic situation, especially the continuous Sino US trade war that directly and indirectly affected the global economic and trade dynamics. Under the lack of confidence in the future market, the overall pulp market situation tended to be conservative, not only the market pulp inventory was at a high level, but also the pulp price continued to fall.
