Fourteen Chinese Paper Enterprises Listed in the Top 75 Global Paper Industry

The latest issue of American paper360 magazine published the latest list of the top 75 papermaking companies in the world, based on the business income of some companies in fiscal year 2018. In the past, the magazine published the list of the top 100 papermaking enterprises in the world every year. Because of the increase of mergers and reorganizations among enterprises in the world in recent two years, the number of enterprises that can be counted has decreased, so the list has been reduced to 75.
Compared with the previous year, the top eight companies remained unchanged, namely, International Paper, P&G, WestRock in the United States, Oji in Japan, UPM in Finland, Smurfit Kappa in Ireland, Stora Enso in Finland and Kimberly Clark in the United States.
A total of 14 Chinese enterprises entered the list in 2018, the same number as the previous year. Six enterprises have entered the top 30 in the world, and China Paper Investment Co., Ltd. has replaced Yueyang Lin Paper, the former listed enterprise, to enter the list for the first time.
The rankings of 11 Chinese companies have improved from the previous year. Nine Dragons Paper ranks first among Chinese enterprises, with revenue reaching 7978 million US dollars in 2018, less than 6 million US dollars from the 10th place of Nippon Paper.
